JIM ELLIS

Founder / Owner / Operator

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jim grew up with a Midwestern work ethic. He loved hanging out at his father's machine shop and pushing a broom at the age of 8. By the time he was 12 years of age, Jim was running an 8-foot radial arm drill and built his first go-kart from scratch. He soon learned to capitalize on his natural gifts and master his exceptional, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.

Involved in school government in high school and college, Jim was always reaching out to assist students who were having a hard time adapting and fitting in. His passion to serve people and solve difficult technical challenges continued well into adulthood.

Jim graduated college from the University of Wisconsin, Stout, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering (B.S.I.E). He also minored in Packaging Science, focusing on design, development, testing, marketing, and production.

Soon, he was lecturing in Minneapolis, Minnesota for the students at the University of Minnesota's Engineering Department. The topic was “Sick Building Syndrome” (SBS) and the human health concerns regarding Indoor Air Quality. He also managed two Senior Capstone Projects on Wind Energy at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His insatiable appetite for design and improvements in energy-efficient technologies earned him 2 patents in the area of Industrial Dust Collection and 1 in the Wind Turbine Industry.

His unique knowledge and diverse experience in manufacturing and engineering, along with his ability to manage people and projects, led him to develop custom systems and product solutions to meet the needs of people in the U.S. and around the world. He has traveled to 9 countries supervising up to 20-men crews, with over half unable to communicate in English.

Well-suited to meet these challenges, Jim was able to partner with diverse cultures, learn of their needs, successfully install custom products, and equip them with the tools and knowledge they needed to improve the health and quality of their lives.
